 Here are the current rules for getting into and out of Canada from the Minnesota border: As of June 1, 2009, all U.S. citizens returning to the United States must present a passport or passport card. Traveling with pets? You'll need a rabies certificate (papers, not just tags). Kids, not with parents (with grandparents, for instance) will need written permission from parents, PLUS birth certificate.
