This is the “un” season — uncomplicated, untroubled, unconcerned with high style. Summer is time to relax by the harbor and toss stones back in. It’s a stroll in our quaint shops, inspired art galleries and historical sites. Summering in Grand Marais is high tea on Chez Jude’s front porch, beverages atop the Gun Flint Tavern, an après-breakfast treat at World’s Best Donuts. The list of outdoor activities is nearly endless. You’ll be hiking one day, fishing the next, maybe taking your first sailing or kayak lesson right here in our harbor. Summer festivals, events and classes connect our history and culture with you, your friends and family. This is the season when childhood memories spent close to the outdoors rise to the surface. It’s a very good time.
